Uniting Educational Facility Planners, The Department of Education, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Manufacturers in a forum to encourage the exchange of ideas, stimulate professional growth, resulting in the design and construction of quality Educational Facilities.

FEFPA SCHOLARSHIP

The Florida Educational Facilities Planners’ Association, Inc. is a statewide organization of facilities planners and associate members involved in planning public educational facilities in K-12, colleges, and universities. The purpose of the organization is to further the knowledge of the planner and offer a source of current information and interplay of ideas among professionals.

The $6,000 in scholarships will be divided into first place $3,000, second place $2,000 and third place $1,000, paid half in the Fall and half in the Spring semester.

Who can apply:

  • Full time Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors & Graduate Students enrolled in a degree program at an accredited Florida university or community college who are majoring in facilities planning or a field related to facilities planning. (Students are not eligible to apply during their first year of college or university. Current & former members of the FEFPA Board of Directors are not eligible to apply.) Applicant must be a Florida resident attending an accredited Florida public institution of higher education.

  • Part-time students with full-time employment will be considered if pursuing a degree in a field related to facilities planning.

  • Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average for all college and university courses completed in order to be eligible. Transcripts are required and must be attached as part of the complete submittal.

When to Apply:

  • In order to be considered, applications must be received no later than midnight June 15, 2024, for the academic year starting in August, 2024, NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Selection will be based upon need, academic excellence, community involvement, references, employment, transcripts, appraisal form and essay.
